Frequently Asked Questions

While our DEMO Videos explain everything that comes with our online program. From time to time we do get some common questions so we have tried to answer them below.

How long should I study in the Fast Trax® Program before I attempt my electrical exam?

Our CEO and Founder Paul Abernathy recommends you dedicate at least 90 days to the program at the least. That means studying two (2) times a week for no less than 4 hours each session. We do have a 60 day study plan as well but it requires dedication to studying at least three (3) times a week for 4 hours each session. Our programs teach you the NEC and is not a Cram Course.

Should I be also doing the included practice exams each week while studying in the Fast Trax®?

Absolutely. Each session you should end with a practice exam included in your MEGA folder. Even if you are early in the study process the practice exams can be taken multiple times to guage your learning progress. So, do them each session to maximize your learning.

Do I need a National Electrical Codebook with the Fast Trax® Course?

YES, Our program has "chevrons: that lead you from the course material and into the NE Codebook. You should be using the NE Code and the course material in your progression through the course. Be sure to always watch our DEMO videos to see how the "Chevrons" are to be applied.

Is there any LIVE training included with my Fast Trax® Program?

Yes, you get exclusive access to our CEO Paul Abernathy on Wednesday Nights at 7:30 PM CST. Paul encourages you to bring any questions you have while working through your Fast Trax® course as well as any other electrical code related question you may have. No other program offers so much access to the creator and NE Code experts like our Fast Trax® NEC Learning System.

Once I order the Fast Trax® Black or the Fast Trax® Plus how long does it take to be able to get started?

Once you are directed to our Electrical Code Academy, Inc. parent site and place your order. Please allow up to 5 business days to receive your log in information and activation codes. While we make every effort to get codes to you sooner please be aware if could take up to 5 business days at the worst case senerio.

What is the difference in the Fast Trax® Black versus the Fast Trax® PLUS?

Great Question - The Fast Trax® Black is our flagship electrical exam preparation course. While the "Black" program does have access to a few videos, it is mainly an online course that requires focus on the reading material.

The Fast Trax® PLUS includes all the content in the Fast Trax® Black but also includes 12 month access to the 100's of exclusive video and podcast available on the www.electricalcodeacademy.com website as well.

Keep in mind that the Fast Trax® Course is contained on it's own server, operated by Cengage. The PLUS aspect is contained on our website and has a totally different log in process.
